As a Security Officer Patrol Screener in Newark, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. What You'll Do
- Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency personnel as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, loading and unloading areas, parking locations, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points and verify authorized entry for personnel, visitors, and/or delivery drivers, following posted procedures for sign-in, credential checks, and vehicle activity.
- Observe dock, warehouse, and exterior operations for security-related concerns, report hazards or policy violations, and support Allied Universal and site management with routine incident reporting.
Minimum Requirements
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- The ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications
