About the role

As a Security Officer Patrol in Northport, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as healthcare. As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication to patients, visitors, and staff.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of hospital buildings, patient care areas, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity or hazards.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and contacting appropriate personnel as needed.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entrances, checking credentials as directed, and maintaining awareness of visitor and contractor activity.
  • Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and/or emergency responders.

Requirements

  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

$15.00 / Hour

Schedule

  • Monday: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
  • Wednesday: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
  • Friday: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
  • Sunday: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
