What You'll Do

  • Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a retail location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout common areas, storefront perimeters, parking areas, and other assigned parts of the location to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas for unusual behavior, access concerns, and/or policy violations, while offering directions and assistance to guests as appropriate.
  • Support property rules and daily operations by reporting maintenance issues, hazards, and/or suspicious activity, and by assisting with crowd management during busy shopping periods or special events.

Minimum Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of law enforcement experience or 2 years of security supervisor/manager experience or 3 years of security experience.
  • Access control/badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
