Security Officer Patrol

About the role

As a Security Officer Patrol in Grandville, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an unarmed Security Officer at a retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service to shoppers, tenants, and visitors. You will communicate clearly, respond professionally to concerns, and support a welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, including common areas, tenant corridors, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site protocols and escalating matters as appropriate.
• Observe and report unusual activity, property concerns, hazards, and policy violations to the appropriate personnel, helping to deter unauthorized activity.
• Assist with access control, visitor assistance, directions, and tenant support while maintaining a professional presence throughout the location.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
