About the role
As a Security Officer Patrol in Lynchburg, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a financial institution, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. You will communicate professionally, respond to concerns, and document activities using computer or tablet tools.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors at a financial services location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help identify unusual activity, unauthorized access, and/or maintenance concerns.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials or authorization as directed by site procedures, and report access-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; document observations and actions in accordance with site requirements.
- Maintain accurate activity logs and incident reports, communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts, and support a professional environment.
Qualifications
- Must be a graduate of a Law Enforcement or Military Police Training Program or equivalent.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
Pay & Schedule
Pay Rate: $22.66 / Hour
Schedule: Wednesday 03:00 PM – 11:00 PM, Thursday 03:00 PM – 11:00 PM, Friday 03:00 PM – 11:00 PM, Saturday 07:00 AM – 03:00 PM, Sunday 07:00 AM – 03:00 PM
