Security Officer / Patrol

About the role

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location in Rialto, CA, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service. You will communicate clearly with employees and visitors while responding to security-related concerns with professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office spaces, common areas, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and assist with maintaining orderly access to restricted areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and promptly communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Support a professional environment by providing directions, answering routine questions, and reporting maintenance, facility, or security-related concerns through established channels.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
