Security Officer Patrol

About the role

As a Security Officer Patrol in Canton, MS, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Tech, Media, and Telecom. This part-time, unarmed patrol position involves monitoring assigned areas, conducting routine patrols, and maintaining a visible presence to deter security incidents. You will support access control, respond to alarms, use computers or tablets for reporting, and provide outstanding customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, parking areas, loading docks, entry points, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and report suspicious activity, hazards, or policy violations.
• Prepare clear and accurate incident reports, patrol logs, and daily activity documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with access control and badge systems.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet.
• Experience with alarm panels.

Pay

$17.20 per hour.

Schedule

• Saturday: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Sunday: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
