About the role
As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents. You will support access control and alarm response while providing outstanding customer service and clear communication.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access requirements, and emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and communicating with appropriate personnel.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, warehouses, offices, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials as assigned, and document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity in accordance with site-specific procedures.
- Prepare clear and timely reports of incidents, observations, and security-related activities, and support access control and emergency response operations as needed.
Requirements
- Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
