About the role

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a chemical/petrochemical location in Jeanerette, LA, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a secure environment for personnel and visitors. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and respond to security-related concerns with integrity.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, spills, access concerns, and other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, production-adjacent areas, access points, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and maintain accurate logs, incident reports, and shift documentation.
• Observe and report hazardous conditions, unusual activity, and equipment concerns to appropriate site personnel and Allied Universal supervision.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
• Guard card or license is preferred.

Note: At this site, there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.

$14.20 / hour
