Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate for a retail location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, and report relevant details according to site protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout common areas, storefront corridors, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points, loading areas, and other designated locations to help to deter unauthorized entry, loitering, and/or policy violations within the property.
  • Support property management and public-facing operations by assisting with directions, answering general questions, and documenting security-related concerns, hazards, and/or maintenance issues observed during patrols.

Minimum Requirements

  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

About the Role

This role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.
