Security Officer Part Time Retail

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, customers, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a retail location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the sales floor, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor for unusual behavior, policy violations, and/or potential loss prevention concerns, and report observations according to site expectations and Allied Universal guidelines.
• Assist with access control, opening and closing activities, and customer-facing support while maintaining a professional presence throughout the location.

Requirements

• Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, which is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licenses are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

DayTime: Mon 06:00 PM - 11:30 PM, Sun 01:00 PM - 11:30 PM
