Security Officer Retail

About the role

Allied Universal is currently hiring a part-time Security Officer for a retail site in Somerville, MA. The position operates Friday through Monday from 11 PM to 7 AM.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or staff by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and perimeter to help identify security-related concerns, policy violations, and/or maintenance issues.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and assigned areas to help support authorized access, observe site activity, and report suspicious behavior.
• Aid with routine security-related duties such as preparing reports, recording daily activity, and relaying information to Allied Universal leadership and/or client representatives.

Requirements

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment.
• Licenses may be required based on state and/or local laws and regulations.
• A valid driver's license may be required for driving positions only.

• Must pass a background investigation and drug screen.
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.

Pay

$20.30 per hour.

Schedule
