Retail Security Officer - Part Time,

Site Location: Torrance, CA

About the role

As a Tactical Security Rover Officer, your ability to read the environment, anticipate risk, and act accordingly is crucial. This role requires strong observational skills and physical ability, as you will be patrolling various environments such as retail stores, airports, and detention centers throughout your shift.

Schedule

• Set schedule: 16 hours per week
• 1st Shift: Friday - Saturday, 1:30 pm - 10:00 pm
• 2nd Shift: Friday - Saturday, 1:30 pm - 10:00 pm

Pay

Competitive hourly wage of $19/hour. DailyPay is available for GardaWorld employees.

Responsibilities

• Patrol sensitive areas to spot any suspicious activity
• Verify identities and control access to secure areas
• React quickly to threats or incidents
• Check the proper functioning of alarms and cameras
• Document incidents and actions taken
• Respond to alarms and conduct on-site checks
• Collaborate with law enforcement during serious incidents
• Ensure the safety and protection of individuals and property

Requirements

• Be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Provide documentation of High School Diploma or GED
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• First aid certification is an asset
• Security, Military, or Law Enforcement experience is a plus
• State security license (BSIS Guard Card) and additional 32hr. BSIS security trainings (additional training can be obtained during the hiring process)
