Security Officer Part Time Armed Patrol Driver

About the role
As an Armed Patrol Driver in New London, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Government. This part-time role involves conducting routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintaining a visible presence to deter security-related incidents, responding to situations, and providing professional customer service. This driving role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact while demonstrating values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, caring, and integrity.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to staff, residents, visitors, and other authorized individuals by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities within a correctional government location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and reporting requirements.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security concerns.
- Monitor access to restricted areas, verify authorization, and document visitor, vehicle, and activity information in accordance with site-specific procedures.
- Maintain awareness of the working environment, communicate observations to appropriate personnel, and complete accurate incident reports and daily activity logs.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- A valid firearms permit is preferred.
- An armed guard card or license is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

$21.50 / hour

- Wednesday: 05:45 AM - 06:00 PM
- Thursday: 05:45 AM - 06:00 PM
