Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver Part Time

About the role

As an Armed Patrol Driver Part-Time Security Officer in Austin, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Retail/Malls. This role involves conducting routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintaining a visible presence to deter incidents, responding to security-related concerns, and providing outstanding customer service. You will represent Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and caring culture while supporting a welcoming environment through clear communication, teamwork, and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to customers, employees, vendors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established procedures and communicating with appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter locations, to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, observe and report suspicious activity, and document incidents, hazards, and policy violations in accordance with site procedures.
• Maintain required firearms qualifications and carry authorized equipment in accordance with applicable laws, Allied Universal policies, and site requirements.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or at least 5 years of armed security-related experience.
• At least 21 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

Pay

$26.50 / Hour

Schedule

• Friday: 06:00 AM - 02:45 PM
• Saturday: 06:00 AM - 02:45 PM
• Sunday: 06:00 AM - 02:45 PM
