About the role
As an Armed Patrol Driver Part Time in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Retail/Malls and more. You will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for customers and team members. This driving post requires clear communication, strong customer service, and integrity while responding to security-related concerns.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and store personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and reporting requirements.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of retail sales areas, receiving areas, parking lots, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points, observe customer and employee activity, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
- Maintain required training, licensing, equipment, and documentation for an armed patrol post while representing Allied Universal professionally.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or at least 5 years of armed security-related experience.
- At least 21 years of age.
- Valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
Pay
$22.00 / Hour
Schedule
- Tuesday: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
- Friday: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
- Saturday: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
