Security Officer Part Time Armed Patrol Driver

About the role
Join Allied Universal in a dynamic government location as an armed patrol officer in a driving post. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. This role offers the chance to support people first through teamwork, integrity, and a reliable, innovative approach while making a meaningful impact each day.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities within a government location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including situations that may require an armed presence consistent with post orders.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, secured areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points, verify entry authorization, and document security-related incidents, observations, and/or daily activities in accordance with site procedures.
- Support interactions within a correctional environment by maintaining professional communication, reporting concerns to appropriate personnel, and following established protocols during routine and elevated situations.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- An armed guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

$21.50 / Hour

- Saturday: 05:45 AM - 06:00 PM
- Sunday: 05:45 AM - 06:00 PM
