Security Officer Outdoor Patrols

About the role

As a Part-Time Security Officer conducting Outdoor Patrols in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Commercial Real Estate. This role offers flexibility to build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for tenants and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of building common areas, parking facilities, exterior grounds, and perimeter areas to identify and report unusual activity or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and building information, and report unauthorized access attempts or suspicious conditions.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and daily documentation in accordance with site-specific requirements and Allied Universal procedures.

Requirements

• Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
• Be at least 21 years of age (18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles).
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Comply with licensing requirements subject to state and/or local laws and regulations, which may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• Thursday: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Friday: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Sunday: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
