About the role

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Vehicle Patrol Documentation in Fairfax, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and/or the public by carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies at a utility location.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facility buildings, grounds, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, monitor access points, verify credentials as directed, document visitor and contractor activity, and report access-control concerns to appropriate personnel.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific emergency response procedures and notifying appropriate contacts.
  • Prepare accurate daily activity reports and incident documentation, and communicate observations, maintenance concerns, and security-related issues to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.

Requirements

  • A primarily driving post is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Skills

  • Access control and badge experience.
