Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Vehicle Patrol

About the role

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a cultural institution in Whittier, CA, you will drive assigned routes, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service to visitors and staff. You will communicate clearly, respond to concerns, and support a welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, families, staff, and vendors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies at a memorial park and cultural institution location.
• Respond to incidents, visitor concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of grounds, buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, provide directions and assistance, and support a respectful, welcoming environment during services, events, and daily operations.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activity accurately, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Requirements

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• Proof of a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay

$22.03 per hour

Schedule

• Daytime shift: 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM
• Monday through Friday
