About the role

As a Full Time Unarmed Patrol Security Officer in Markham, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors while demonstrating the company’s values: agile, reliable, innovative, caring, team-oriented, and integrity-driven.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, verify credentials as required, and report access-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly; document observations and follow established reporting procedures.
• Maintain a professional presence while supporting a welcoming environment for personnel and visitors, communicating clearly with site contacts and leadership.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license required (in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy).
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet (preferred).
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements vary by state/local laws and may be required prior to employment.

Pay

$19.75 per hour.

Schedule

• Thursday: 10:30 PM – 6:30 AM
• Friday: 10:30 PM – 6:30 AM
• Saturday: 10:30 PM – 6:30 AM
• Sunday: 10:30 PM – 6:30 AM
