Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol

About the role

As a Full Time Unarmed Patrol Security Officer in Vernon, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Logistics & Distribution. You will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, help deter incidents, and support a secure environment for personnel and operations. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and respond to security-related concerns.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies at a logistics and distribution location.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of loading areas, dock doors, trailer yards, parking areas, access points, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the facility, verify authorized personnel and visitors, and maintain required entry, exit, and vehicle documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Observe and report unusual activity, damaged property, delivery-related concerns, and potential hazards to site management and/or Allied Universal leadership.

Requirements

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• Proof of a high school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 21 years of age.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet (preferred).
• Alarm panel experience (preferred).
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
