Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol

About the role

As a Full Time Unarmed Patrol Security Officer in Canton, MS, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to deter security-related incidents, and support access control activities. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate professionally with employees and visitors, and use technology to document observations.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, offices, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter to identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required, and assist with directing guests and vendors in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of patrols, incidents, and security-related activities, and communicate relevant information during shift handoffs.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Preferred Qualifications

• Access control and badge experience.
• X-ray screening experience.
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• CPR certification.

Pay

$17.20 / Hour

• Monday: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Wednesday: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Saturday: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sunday: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
