Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol

About the role
As an Unarmed Security Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. You will support a welcoming environment for tenants, visitors, and staff while using technology to document activity and report concerns.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout commercial property buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity or property concerns.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner and notify appropriate personnel as directed by site procedures.
- Monitor access points and observe activity at the location, documenting incidents, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.
- Assist with directing visitors and vendors, providing general information, and maintaining a professional presence at the property.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Qualifications
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
Pay
Pay Rate: $13.50 / Hour
Schedule
- Monday: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
- Friday: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
- Saturday: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
- Sunday: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
Position requires walking or standing for long periods of time.
