Security Officer Full Time Facility Access

About the role

As an Access Control Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location in Riverview, FL, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage visitor access, and support a secure environment for personnel and operations. You will remain visible to help deter incidents, communicate professionally, and provide exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, contractors, and delivery drivers by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate access-control logs and records.
• Screen incoming vehicles, deliveries, and contractors in accordance with site requirements, directing authorized individuals to designated areas.
• Respond to access-control concerns, alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; promptly communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, parking areas, business facilities, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity; working environments and conditions may vary by location.

Requirements

• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
