Security Officer Full Time Access

About the role

As an Access Control Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will help manage access points, verify credentials, monitor activity, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. You will use technology to document security-related information, communicate professionally, and help identify potential concerns.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor entry and exit points at a logistics and distribution location, verify credentials and authorized access, and maintain accurate visitor, contractor, and delivery records.
• Control access for delivery vehicles and personnel in accordance with site procedures, communicate with dispatch or site contacts, and report unauthorized access attempts or unusual activity.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, exterior areas, and the business perimeter to help identify and report security-related concerns.

Requirements

• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortability using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
