Security Officer Full Time Access

About the role

As a Security Officer Full Time Access in Spartanburg, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a financial institution location, you will help maintain a welcoming, secure environment by managing entry points, verifying access credentials, monitoring activity, and communicating professionally with employees and visitors. Your visible presence and attention to detail will help deter security-related incidents while supporting daily operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors at a financial institution location by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor and control access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, maintain visitor records, and direct guests in accordance with established procedures.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, restricted areas, construction work zones, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
• Document incidents, access activity, and unusual conditions accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal supervision and site management.

Minimum Requirements

• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
