Security Officer Full Time Dispatch Communications

About the role

As a Dispatch Security Professional supporting a technology, media, and telecommunications location in Sterling, VA, you will coordinate security-related communications, monitor activity, manage access control and badge processes, and respond to routine requests. You will provide exceptional customer service while helping to maintain an orderly environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor alarms, cameras, access-control systems, and communications channels; dispatch personnel and coordinate responses to incidents, service requests, and critical situations.
• Receive, document, prioritize, and communicate calls for assistance in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site-specific procedures.
• Maintain accurate dispatch logs, incident records, shift activity reports, and other required documentation.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter as assigned, reporting unusual conditions and security-related concerns.

Requirements

• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

$23.18 / Hour

• Wednesday: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Friday: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Saturday: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
