Security Officer Full Time Credential Desk

About the Role

Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer supporting a residential community in Mission Viejo, CA. You will monitor entry points, verify authorized access, maintain a professional presence, and help deter security-related incidents. Provide exceptional customer service and clear communication to residents, visitors, and staff while using technology to document activities.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, vendors, and/or visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for residents, guests, vendors, deliveries, and/or service personnel entering the residential community.
• Maintain accurate visitor, vendor, delivery, and/or incident records in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating with appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of community access points, common areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.

Requirements

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
