Security Officer Campus Patrol
About the role
As a Security Officer Campus Security in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic education location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and support students, staff, and visitors with outstanding customer service and communication.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, and help to support timely communication with campus contacts and/or first responders.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout academic buildings, common areas, parking locations, and perimeter access points to help to identify unusual activity and/or security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and campus activity, document observations and incidents, and report maintenance issues, suspicious behavior, and/or policy violations through established reporting procedures.
- Support a respectful campus environment by providing directions, answering questions, and assisting with de-escalation during routine interactions and/or high-traffic events.
Requirements
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Qualifications
- Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
