About the role
As an Armed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor assigned areas, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will support access control, communicate professionally with staff and visitors, and respond to incidents with integrity and care.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the facility, parking areas, entrances, perimeter, and other assigned areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorized entry as directed, and report unusual conditions or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
- Prepare clear, accurate incident reports and communicate observations, concerns, and response actions to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.
Requirements
- Possess at least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
- Possess an armed guard card or license.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control or badge experience is preferred.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

$19.37 / Hour

- Tuesday: 01:00 PM - 08:30 PM
- Wednesday: 01:00 PM - 08:30 PM
- Thursday: 01:00 PM - 08:30 PM
- Friday: 06:00 AM - 01:00 PM
- Saturday: 06:00 AM - 04:00 PM
