Security Officer Armed Patrol

About the role

As an Armed Patrol Security Officer in Las Vegas, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Healthcare. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to deter security-related incidents, respond to concerns, and provide professional customer service and communication to patients, visitors, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with appropriate hospital personnel and public responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the facility, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and assist with maintaining controlled access to restricted areas in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and report security-related concerns to site leadership.

Requirements

• At least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Possess a private investigator license, armed.
• Proficient in the use of handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions.

Pay

$18.00 / Hour

Schedule

• Day shift: 06:00 PM - 06:00 AM (Monday, Tuesday, Sunday)
