Security Officer Armed Patrol

About the role

Join Allied Universal at a government location as an armed officer, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support a professional environment through strong customer service and communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including situations that may require an armed presence in accordance with post orders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
• Maintain access control by monitoring access points, verifying credentials, and documenting visitor, employee, and/or contractor activity in alignment with location protocols.
• Prepare detailed reports on incidents, patrol activity, and/or observed conditions, and communicate relevant information to supervisors, local authorities, and/or client representatives as needed.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• At least 21 years of age.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
• At least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
