Security Officer Armed Patrol
About the role
Join Allied Universal at a government location as an armed officer, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support a professional environment through strong customer service and communication.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including situations that may require an armed presence in accordance with post orders.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
- Maintain access control by monitoring access points, verifying credentials, and documenting visitor, employee, and/or contractor activity in alignment with location protocols.
- Prepare detailed reports on incidents, patrol activity, and/or observed conditions, and communicate relevant information to supervisors, local authorities, and/or client representatives as needed.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of security-related experience.
- At least 21 years of age.
- An armed guard card or license is preferred.
- A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
- At least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Qualifications
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
