About the role

As a Security Officer Armed – Customer Access in Greenville, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Aero/Defense. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support access control and badge processes. This role combines professionalism, customer service, and clear communication while responding to security-related concerns.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalation procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, restricted areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access points, verify credentials, document visitor and vehicle entry, and report suspicious activity or policy violations.
  • Maintain proficiency with assigned equipment and firearms, complete required reports, and follow applicable laws, company policies, and client procedures.

Requirements

  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • At least 3 years of security-related, law enforcement, military police, or military experience is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
