Security Officer Armed - Property Access

About the Role

As an Armed Security Officer - Property Access in Columbia, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as financial institutions. This part-time position offers flexibility to build a schedule that works for you using our Claim a Shift platform. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a financial institution location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry in accordance with site-specific procedures, reporting suspicious activity and/or policy violations.
• Maintain required reports and documentation, including incident reports, patrol observations, and shift activity records.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Complete industry-specific security training programs.
• Meet licensing requirements subject to state and/or local laws and regulations, which may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Pay

$16.00 per hour.

Schedule

• Part-time: Friday 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Part-time: Saturday 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
