Security Officer Armed - Property Access

About the role

As an Armed Security Officer - Property Access in Hartsville, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Logistics & Distribution. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to deter incidents, and support access control and security-related procedures. This role involves providing professional customer service, clear communication with team members and visitors, and using technology to document activity.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly, documenting observations and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the logistics and distribution location, including warehouse areas, loading docks, parking areas, and perimeter access points.
• Monitor access to the location, verify authorized personnel and visitors, and deter unauthorized entry.
• Observe shipping and receiving activity, report unusual conditions, and follow site procedures for vehicle, contractor, and visitor access.

Requirements

• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet (preferred).
• Subject to a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment.
• Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Pay

$18.50 per hour.
