About the role
Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location supporting an educational campus environment. In this role, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and assist with access awareness and communication. Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a public education location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and/or emergency personnel as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, athletic spaces, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and help verify authorized entry, while maintaining awareness of school grounds, administrative areas, and other assigned locations.
- Maintain readiness to perform armed post duties in accordance with Allied Universal standards, site requirements, and applicable laws, regulations, and/or training guidelines.
Requirements
- 1 or more years of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience is required.
- 1 or more years of security-related experience is required.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Pay
$18.54 / hour
Schedule
- Thursday: 07:00 AM - 04:00 PM
- Friday: 07:00 AM - 04:00 PM
