Security Officer Armed Access

About the Role

As an Armed Patrol Security Officer in Myrtle Beach, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as financial institutions. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence to deter incidents, responding to security-related concerns, and supporting a welcoming environment through professional communication and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of financial institution facilities, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to identify and report unusual activity or potential security concerns.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify authorized entry, and follow site procedures for visitors, deliveries, and contractor personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly, following established post orders and reporting requirements.
• Maintain accurate activity reports and incident documentation, and communicate observations to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 21 years of age (required for armed roles).
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Subject to a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay

$17.36 per hour.

• Thursday: 08:45 AM - 05:15 PM
• Saturday: 08:45 AM - 02:15 PM
