About the role

As an Access Control Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will help manage site entry, verify credentials, monitor access points, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will communicate professionally with employees and visitors, document activity, and support a welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control protocols, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Monitor and control access at assigned entry points by verifying identification, credentials, visitor authorization, and/or delivery documentation in accordance with site policies.
  • Maintain accurate visitor, contractor, vehicle, and access-related records; issue and recover badges, passes, keys, or other authorized access items as directed.
  • Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned manufacturing and industrial areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay

$14.75 / Hour

Schedule

  • Position Type: Full Time
  • Day shift: 01:00 AM - 11:00 AM (Monday - Thursday)
