Job Description

As a Security Officer Access Control in Costa Mesa, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a retail and mall location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service. You will communicate professionally with visitors, tenants, and team members while supporting a welcoming environment.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, retailers, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout the retail property, including common areas, parking areas, exterior perimeter, and designated access points.
• Monitor for unusual activity, policy violations, and potential hazards, documenting observations and notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
• Assist with access control, visitor guidance, and traffic or parking-related support while maintaining a professional presence that helps to deter unauthorized activity.

Minimum Requirements

• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Licensing Requirements

Subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
