Security Officer Access Control

About the role

As a Security Officer Access Control in Theodore, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Logistics & Distribution. You will help manage entry points, verify credentials, issue badges, and monitor access activity to support a secure environment. You will provide professional customer service, communicate clearly with employees and visitors, and help address security-related concerns.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and authorization, document visitor and contractor entry, and direct approved individuals to appropriate areas.
• Control vehicle and pedestrian access at gates and entry points, inspect credentials and shipping-related documentation as assigned, and report unauthorized access attempts.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, promptly notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency responders when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking facilities, and the business perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Requirements

• Possess at least two years of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• Tuesday: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Wednesday: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sunday: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
