Security Officer Access Control

About the role

As an Access Control Officer at a food and beverage location, you will help manage entry points, verify access credentials, monitor visitor activity, and maintain a professional, welcoming presence. You will support a secure environment through clear communication, accurate documentation, and prompt reporting of security-related concerns.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor and control entry and exit points, verify credentials, manage visitor access, and maintain accurate access-related records for a food and beverage production location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, access points, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Communicate clearly with site personnel, visitors, and Allied Universal leadership regarding access issues, policy violations, and unusual conditions.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
