Security Officer Access Control
About the Role
As a Security Officer Building Access Control - Patrol Experience Required in Santa Ana, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Cultural Institutions, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a cultural institution, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control. You will provide outstanding customer service and clear communication to visitors and staff while representing Allied Universal's agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first culture with teamwork and integrity.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, guests, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities within a cultural institution setting.
- Respond to incidents, visitor concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout public areas, galleries, collection-adjacent spaces, entrances, and the property perimeter to help identify unusual conditions and help to deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points and visitor flow, assist with directions and location guidelines, and report observed security-related concerns to appropriate personnel.
- Document patrols, incidents, and noteworthy observations accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
Requirements
- At least one year of security-related experience is required.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Comfortable use of a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Full Time / Swing Shift: DayTime Tue 02:00 PM - 10:30 PM, Wed 02:00 PM - 10:30 PM, Thur 02:00 PM - 10:30 PM, Sat 02:00 PM - 10:30 PM
Pay
$23.25 / Hour
