This Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced position is a flexible, dependable option for individuals looking to supplement their income, gain hands-on experience, or work toward a full-time career with the industry leader. As a Security Guard Enhanced Part Time Armed Mobile Driver in Land O Lakes, FL, this role provides reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility to earn more by picking up additional shifts.

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours one week and full-time the next—it’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week, always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at government facilities.
• Perform armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, public access points, and surrounding property to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
• Monitor access to county facilities, verify credentials as required, and assist with directing visitors in accordance with established procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with emergency services and site contacts as needed.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain activity logs for patrols, incidents, observations, and other security-related activities.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess 2 or more years of law enforcement, military, or corrections experience.
• An Armed Guard Card or License is preferred.
• A Guard Card or License is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
