Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to site leadership and/or local authorities when needed.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, roadways, restricted areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
- Maintain readiness to use assigned protective equipment and an authorized firearm in accordance with post orders, Allied Universal guidelines, and applicable laws and/or regulations.
Minimum Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
- An armed guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
