Seasonal Retail Consultant | Aesop Tysons Corner | Part Time

This is a seasonal retail contract role with an end date of January 16, 2027. Candidates must be available between November 1 and January 16, 2027, with full availability required on specific weekend dates. Weekend work is mandatory and vacation will not be accommodated during this period.

Responsibilities

• Customer Experience: Connect with customers through genuine, personalized conversations and storytelling; understand their needs and recommend products accordingly.
• Craft exceptional customer journeys, from warm welcome and engagement to thoughtful product demonstrations and regimen building.
• Confidently lead customers to the sink/fragrance area, demonstrating recommended products on the customer’s hand.
• Ensure a memorable departure by providing samples, building lasting relationships, and inviting customers to return.
• Embody Aesop’s values in all actions and seek continuous improvement.
• Execute Retail Essentials: Adhere to Aesop’s grooming guidelines and uphold retail standards, ensuring the "five senses" experience is consistently delivered.
• Complete stock, inventory, and store presentation tasks diligently.

Requirements

• Experience working as part of a customer-focused team, ideally within retail or hospitality.
• A keen eye for detail in selling and delivering tailored experiences.
• A merchant mindset that is both customer-focused and commercially driven.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with confidence in tactile product demonstrations.
• A deep passion for selling premium products and excitement for Aesop’s offerings, including skincare and fragrance.
• Ability to work on the sales floor for extended periods, walk up and down a flight of stairs and/or ladder as necessary, and lift up to 25 lbs. on a regular basis.
