About the role

Aēsop® is a premium skin care brand with a meticulous approach to formulations and customer experience. As a Seasonal Retail Consultant, you will introduce and sell products through genuine, personalized conversations, connecting customers to Aesop’s unique values and storytelling. This contract position requires flexible availability, including weekends, with an end date of January 16, 2027. Candidates must be available between November 1 and January 16, 2027; vacation will not be accommodated during this period. Full availability is required during specific weekend dates.

Responsibilities

• Customer Experience: Master storytelling to connect with customers, understand their needs, and recommend products that fit their world. Craft exceptional, personalized customer journeys—from warm welcome and engagement to product demonstrations and regimen building.
• Confidently lead customers to the sink/fragrance area, demonstrating recommended products on their hands, body, and through conversation.
• Ensure a memorable departure by providing samples, building lasting relationships, and inviting customers to return.
• Embody Aesop’s values in all actions and seek continuous improvement.
• Execute Retail Essentials: Adhere to Aesop’s grooming and retail standards, ensuring the "five senses" experience is consistently delivered.
• Complete stock, inventory, and store presentation tasks diligently.

What you will bring

• Experience working as part of a customer-focused team, ideally within retail or hospitality, with a keen eye for detail in selling and delivering tailored experiences.
• A merchant mindset—both customer-focused and commercially driven.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with confidence in tactile product demonstrations.
• A deep passion for selling premium products and excitement for Aesop’s offerings, including skincare and fragrance.
• Physical Environment: Ability to work on the sales floor for extended periods, walk up and down a flight of stairs and/or ladder as necessary, and lift up to 25 lbs. on a regular basis.
