Seasonal Registered Nurse (RN) - MedSurg

Job Overview This role involves providing comprehensive patient care in various settings, collaborating with physicians, leadership, and multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes. The nurse utilizes critical thinking, nursing processes, and compassionate care to assess, plan, and deliver appropriate treatments, including medication administration and patient education. Responsibilities include assessing patients, performing treatments, addressing psychosocial needs, promoting safety, and ensuring cost-effective practices. The role requires effective communication, teamwork, and the ability to assist physicians with procedures, while respecting patient rights and dignity. Qualifications & Skills Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a relevant unit or specialty area.Graduate of an accredited nursing program.Computer literacy.RN licensure and BLS certification within 14 days of hire.Preferred certifications include ACLS/PALS. Key Duties Perform accurate patient assessments and administer prescribed medications.Develop and evaluate patient and family education plans.Collaborate with healthcare team to coordinate care.Assist with procedures requiring technical skills.Identify and address psychosocial needs, coordinating post-discharge care.Practice cost-effective resource management and promote patient safety.Commit to ongoing professional development.
