Seasonal Registered Nurse (RN) - MedSurg

Job Summary Provides direct and indirect patient care in various settings, collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes. Utilizes critical thinking, nursing processes, and compassionate care to restore health, respecting patient autonomy and dignity. Performs general nursing duties, patient education, and prioritization, adapting care to patients' age and condition. Key Responsibilities Assess patients accurately based on their medical condition.Administer prescribed medications safely.Provide age-appropriate care and support basic self-care activities.Develop and evaluate patient and family education plans.Perform treatments and nursing services utilizing clinical knowledge.Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams for patient care.Assist physicians with procedures and handle technical tasks.Address psychosocial needs and communicate with social services for discharge planning.Practice cost-effective care, managing supplies efficiently.Prioritize patient safety and minimize risks of harm.Commit to ongoing professional development and lifelong learning. Qualifications & Skills Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the current unit or specialty area.Graduate of an accredited nursing program.Computer literacy required.RN licensure and BLS certification within 14 days of hire; ACLS/PALS preferred.
