Seasonal Registered Nurse (RN) - MedSurg

About the Role

This position provides direct and indirect patient care, collaborating with physicians, leadership, and multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes. It involves performing nursing duties, patient education, and prioritizing care with compassion, integrity, and respect. The role emphasizes patient safety, autonomy, dignity, and restoring health where possible.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients accurately based on their medical condition.
• Administer prescribed medications and provide age-appropriate care.
• Develop and evaluate patient and family education plans.
• Utilize nursing knowledge to perform treatments and procedures.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive care.
• Assist physicians with procedures and perform technical tasks.
• Address psychosocial needs and coordinate with social services for discharge planning.
• Practice cost-effective resource management and promote patient safety.
• Prioritize patient care efficiently and engage in lifelong learning.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a relevant unit or specialty area.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Computer literacy skills.
• RN licensure and BLS certification within 14 days of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

• ACLS/PALS certifications.
